Clovis-based Wiseconn Engineering presented its business plan to investors at the 17th annual InvestMidwest Venture Capital Forum, held this week in St. Louis.

At the event, Wiseconn Engineering was seeking funds for marketing and sales, working capital, improvements and new product development and launch in the U.S.

Wiseconn  has created an effective online irrigation management system to allow growers to reach their optimum production and water cost. This system, Dropcontrol, uses a platform that consists of logging, communicating and controlling hardware that connects the irrigation system and field information to a web page.

Completely web-based, the technology consists of a decision dashboard and a complete scheduling and controlling tool for correct execution.

Wiseconn’s cost-effective system has allowed hundreds of growers to effectively implement deficit irrigation, pulse irrigation and variable rate irrigation based on soil types, resulting in water and energy savings of up to 40 percent as well as a reduction in fertilization leaching, a reallocation of irrigation personnel and improved yield.

Some of the most promising emerging companies in the life sciences, technology, food, agriculture and the bioenergy industries were showcased at the forum, which featured 45 entrepreneurial growth companies whose representatives shared their business plans with an audience of the nation’s top venture capitalists, corporate and private investors and investment bankers.
