A local recycling firm is doing its part to keep Fresno County clear of a certain type of clutter — political campaign signs.

Richard Caglia, president of development for Caglia Environmental, is spearheading the program.

“In an effort to keep our Valley communities clean, Caglia Environmental is offering free dumping of election signs and materials at our south Cedar Avenue facility, Cedar Avenue Recycling and Transfer Station (CARTS),” said Caglia. “Since the primary election is finished, it makes sense to get these materials removed and dumped so they don’t litter our neighborhoods.”

Election materials should not be mixed with other trash and brought to CARTS, located at 3457 S. Cedar Ave. in Fresno, during regular business hours: Monday – Friday, 7 a.m. – 4 p.m. and Saturdays from 7 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. For questions regarding the disposal of political materials, call the Caglia Environmental business office at 559-233-1158.
