Boomers! Fresno announced on social media that the business has lost its lease and will be closing after Labor Day, which is Sept. 4.

The family park — which launched in 1999, according to its Facebook page — features miniature golf courses, go karts, bumper boats, laser tag and an arcade.

Formerly known as a Camelot Park location that opened around 1997, it was included in the first major wave of new development in the River Park area near Blackstone Avenue between Herndon and Nees avenues. It has operated even as a major shopping center with a Home Depot and Costco was built nearby.

The announcement was made Wednesday morning, and since then it has been shared on Facebook more than 1,300 times, and has generated nearly 600 comments.

In a response to a Facebook comment, a Boomers representative said the business was unable to negotiate a new lease with its landlord, adding “We’re sad we have to go but come join us before we go!”

Boomers also wrote that the park equipment would likely be relocated to other California Boomers locations, the closest being in Modesto.
