The Big Fresno Fair took home 19 awards at the Western Fairs Association’s 94th Convention & Trade Show in Reno, Nevada, in mid-January.

More than 1,200 fair CEOs, directors, staff and fair-related professionals from roughly 125 fairs throughout the Western U.S. attended.

The Achievement Awards recognize best practices by fairs in a variety of categories from advertising creative to community involvement. This year, some of The Big Fresno Fair’s first place finishes included its Entertainment Television Spot and “Enter-To-Win Front Row Seats” Social Media Campaign.

“I could not ask for a better team of people who care so deeply about our Fair and our community,” said John C. Alkire, CEO of The Big Fresno Fair, in a statement. “We are honored to be acknowledged by our peers for our various community programs and marketing efforts. It’s great to be able to share ideas and continue to improve what we do and how we do it. We are already hard at work to make the 2017 Big Fresno Fair even better than last year!”
