Voting for Best of Central Valley Business Readers' Choice Awards begins Sept. 1.

It’s that time of the year again — when Business Journal online readers vote for their favorite businesses in dozens of local categories.

Now in its fourth year, The Best of Central Valley Business Readers Choice Awards is an opportunity for readers to highlight the local companies they interact with day in and day out.

Since its inception in 2014, nearly 200,000 individual votes have been cast for businesses in the running for Best of Central Valley. Starting on Sept. 1, visitors to thebusinesssjournal.com will be able to vote for businesses in 35 categories. Some of the more popular categories include Best Company to Work For, Best Local Politician on Business Issues and Best Business Supporting Local Charities.

Each year, The Business Journal adds new categories into the mix. New categories for 2017 include Best Local Morning Radio Show, Best Interior Design Firm, Best Local Lunch Spot to Eat During the Work Week, Best Family Owned Business, Best Title Company and Best Local Annual Event to Attend.

Voting will run for six weeks, through mid-October, and the program will culminate with an event in December to award the winners of the Best of Central Valley Business.

Be sure to visit this site on Sept. 1 to begin voting for the Best of Central Valley Business. Each category will have ten businesses already listed for voting, representing the top 10 vote getters from last year. Voters will also be able to write in their favorite businesses.

Business owners, be ready to mobilize your supporters to get out the vote.
