The United Health Centers Foundation’s third-annual Fun Run kicks off this Saturday, March 29, at 9 a.m. at Woodward Park, celebrating the opportunity to support local health care accessibility while promoting healthy exercise habits with a number of runs, walks and activities.

The event, which will take place at Woodward Park’s Art of Life Healing Garden, kicks off at 7:30 a.m. with registration. Following the 9 a.m. National Anthem, the 10K run begins at 9:05, with a 5K run following shortly after at 9:10. Other events, including a 2-mile walk event at 9:15, mascot race at 10:15 and kid’s race at 10:40 will precede an awards and raffle ceremony at 10:40 a.m.

Participants will also be able to enjoy a healthy fruit bowl post-race, an event t-shirt and a finisher’s medal, accomplishing their achievement. One raffle ticket will also be eligible for a $1,000 cash prize, with cash prizes also awarded to race winners.

“This event is more than just a race — it’s a way for our community to come together and make a meaningful impact on healthcare access,” said UHC President and CEO Justin Preas. “With the generous support of our sponsors and participants, we are able to expand vital healthcare services to those who need them most.”

The event received support from Espinoza Brothers Food Distribution, as well as EECU, United Physicians Network (UPN), Impress Printing, Banc of California, Fiesta Party Supplies & Rentals, Table Mountain Casino and others. UCH thanks all of its community partners for making the event possible.
