Clovis’ first craft brewery has teamed up with an ice cream maker to create a spot where children and adults can enjoy something cold as the weather gets warmer.

Located at 356 Pollasky Ave., 356 Tavern is the result of a partnership between 559 Beer and Roll Me Some ice cream shop. The collaboration came when 559 found its business growing and needing more space.

“We had a lot of requests for food and our music was picking up there,” said Rhett Williams, founder of 356 Tavern. “And we met the ice cream people at our place and we’re like: ‘Hey, let’s do this inside too, man.’”

Vanessa Vejar of Roll Me Some said that the pairing has created not only an improvement in business but a spot with something to offer for a wide array of customers.

“It’s been really good, especially because we get just a diversity of people,” Vejar said. “We have families that come in for ice cream, the dads will go have a beer, or the moms will have a glass of wine and kids are watching their ice cream be made and so it’s nice for them to be able to have that.”
