Tulare County's Green Line call center has been touted as a success in its first six month with its call volume increasing 751 percent.

The call center, a partnership between the Visalia Transit Division, the Tulare County Association of Governments and all Transit agencies in Tulare County, was made available to residents last June for all transit related questions within the county.

Since its inception, the Green Line has received more than 10,000 phone calls answering questions about bus locations and routes, trip planning, Greyhound and Orange Belt and concerns and complaints.

In addition to the Green Line call center, the Visalia Transit Division offers free "Transit 101" classes, whereby a transit representative will personally visit local businesses and organizations to educate them on transit guides, transit routes and details of each transit department.

The toll-free call center can be reached by calling 1-877-40 Go Green (1-877-404-6473)
