Derrick Reimer has become somewhat of a dynasty in the 59DaysofCode competition, as one of his projects took home the title for the zero-code category for the second year in a row.
The Valley’s annual programming competition concluded with the winners announced on Saturday at the Holiday Inn in downtown Fresno.
Reimer’s Leadscreener took home the contest title in the zero-code category. The application filters through tweets to find potential clients for businesses.
In 2011, he won the category with his GuideKit application.
For the in-progress category, e-commerce program Ventana, was awarded top honors and the public selected multiplayer strategy video game Ensemble Online as the People’s Choice winner.
In the zero-code category, contestants could not have any code written prior to the start of the 59 days of competition. The in-progress contestants already had a portion of code written.
