Ruiz Foods president, CEO resigns for 'personal reasons'

Bryce Ruiz has resigned as president and CEO of Ruiz Foods, inc.Bryce Ruiz has resigned as president and CEO of Ruiz Foods, inc.Dinuba-based Ruiz Foods, Inc. announced today that President and CEO Bryce Ruiz has resigned effective immediately for unspecified personal reasons.

Bryce Ruiz is the son of co-founder Fred Ruiz, who started the frozen Mexican food company with his father Louis Ruiz in 1964. Bryce Ruiz, a third generation Ruiz in the company, became president and CEO in 2009. 

Bryce Ruiz will remain a shareholder of the company and will continue to serve on the company's board of directors, according to a news release.

A search has commenced for a successor. In the interim, Kim Ruiz Beck — Bryce Ruiz's sister and current company board chair — will serve as president and CEO.
