Madera groups to receive SolutionMakers Awards

Two local organizations that make a positive difference in the health and well being of the communities they serve will be recognized for their achievements July 12 at 10 a.m.
Darin M. Camarena Health Centers and Community Action Partnership of Madera County Head Start Program will be presented with the 2012 Madera County Community SolutionMakers Award by representatives of CalViva Health and Health Net Community Solutions.
Madera County Supervisor David Rogers will join David Friedman, vice president of state health programs for Health Net and CalViva Health CEO Greg Hund in presenting the awards, and the Madera Chamber of Commerce will team up with CalViva and Health Net to hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony for CalViva Health’s Madera Community Office.
Together, Darin M. Camarena Health Center and the Community Action Partnership of Madera County Head Start Program improve access to quality health care services for thousands of medically underserved individuals.
The presentation will be held at the CalViva Health Community office at 525 E. Yosemite Ave. in Madera. The public is welcome to attend.
