Fundraising effort to support Children's Hospital PDF Print E-mail

Children's Hospital Central CaliforniaChildren's Hospital Central California will benefit from a fundraising campaign launched recently by Food 4 Less stores to support communities in southern California, southern Nevada, and the greater Chicago area.

The hospital is one of 11 that will receive the funds from the campaign scheduled to run until May 22. Funds collected from customers of Food 4 Less and Foods Co. stores will be distributed through the supermarket's nonprofit arm, The Food 4 Less/Foods Co Fund.

Since 2005, Food 4 Less/Foods Co, its team members and customers have given more than $1 million to children's hospitals. The company recently participated in a fundraising program that gifted $177,000 to the breast cancer survivor network, Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

Headqartered in Los Angeles, Food 4 Less operates 146 price-impact, warehouse-format supermarkets under the banners Food 4 Less in Southern California, Nevada, Illinois and Indiana, and Foods Co in Northern California.
